Transcription
Every upload is automatically transcribed into English captions using OpenAI's open-source Whisper model, running locally — no upload to a cloud transcription service.
Translation
Captions are machine-translated into three languages using locally-hosted models — a transcript never has to leave your infrastructure to get translated.
AI Dubbing
Translated captions are synthesized into a timed, spoken dub track with Piper, an open-source neural voice engine — viewers can watch in their own language, not just read it.
Context Search
Search your entire library by meaning, not filename. A query like "sharing files outside the company" finds the right moment even if no video uses those words — in any of the four languages.

Zero-knowledge encryption
Every file is encrypted client-side before it ever reaches the network. Filenames are HMAC-keyed on the hub, so directory structure and content are opaque to anyone without an authorized client — including LucidLink itself. There's no central plaintext copy to breach.
Granular access, full audit trail
Byte-range and whole-file locking coordinate concurrent writers safely, and every read and write is attributable. Security and infrastructure teams get a real audit trail, not a bolted-on logging shim.
Mount anywhere, scale on your terms
The same filespace mounts identically across machines, operating systems, and regions — no fixed root path, no rip-and-replace migration. Adding capacity is a storage decision, not an infrastructure project.
Uploads write straight to the filespace
Because the video library lives on LucidLink, new uploads are written directly onto the shared filespace as they arrive — not proxied through, or buffered on, the server hosting the app. Uploads are faster, there's no arbitrary file-size ceiling, and the app server carries none of the extra load.
